Standard Patches
Our 2¼x3½" embroidered Standard Flag Patches are possibly what most folks imagine when they think of traditional flag patches. They have a good amount of detail and are ideally suited for bold applications such as shoulders and breast pockets of shirts and jackets.
These patches are finished with a non-raveling, "merrowed" edge, usually in gold-colored thread. (Note: "merrowing" is also know as "overedging", "overlocking", or "serging".) Although they can be ironed on, we always recommend at least "tacking" down the corners for applications expected to be subjected to somewhat rougher environments to prevent curling.
